Shortcuts

You can view, change, and reset Vibex shortcuts in Settings → Shortcuts. Conflicting key bindings are rejected with Shortcut is invalid or already in use.

Rebindable shortcuts

These 15 actions can be rebound in Settings:

The table uses a cmd- prefix, which is the Command key on macOS and the Ctrl key on Windows / Linux. Only the image editor’s undo / redo are defined per platform.

Reset restores a single default, and Reset all clears every custom mapping.

Fixed shortcuts

These shortcuts are fixed behavior:

Mouse actions

Action	Effect
Drag a file tab	Reorder it, or drag it to an edge to split
Drag a panel edge	Resize the sidebar / right rail / terminal
Right-click a file tree entry	Open the file actions menu
Right-click a tab	Open the tab actions menu (close, split, pin, and so on)
Drag a file	Move it within the file tree; near an edge it scrolls automatically
Zoom the image editor	Scroll to zoom, drag to pan

Search entry points

Vibex has several searches with different scopes. Do not confuse them:

Search settings	Settings options	The top of Settings

Global search is the only cross-type entry point: one query answers over sessions, settings entries, and quick actions at once, and cmd-k opens it from anywhere. Session search no longer lives in the sidebar; its trigger moved to the title bar, immediately before the runtime control.
